Bubs Bones began with two dogs who meant everything to our family, Nora and Duff, our strong and loyal pit bulls. Like many owners of aggressive chewers, we struggled to find chews that were natural, safe, and long lasting. Most of the bones we found in stores were full of additives, broke apart too quickly, or simply did not hold up to strong chewers.
We knew there had to be a better option for dogs like ours.
So my son and I decided to make our own. What started as a simple idea turned into many evenings spent experimenting together, trying different methods and recipes to create something healthy and durable that our dogs would truly enjoy. Nora and Duff became our testers, and if they did not love something, we kept working until we got it right.
After a lot of trial and error, we finally created the recipe we still use today. The moment we gave the bones to Nora and Duff and saw how much they loved them, we knew we had found something special.
My son's nickname has always been Bubs, and when it came time to name what we created, the choice felt natural. Bubs Bones was born.
What started as a project between a father and son for two beloved dogs has grown into something bigger. Today we make natural, long lasting bones for dog owners who want something better for their dogs.
Every bone we make is still inspired by Nora and Duff, because dogs like them deserve the very best.
